This two-day conference will bring together leading scholars of ancient philosophy who have given special attention in their work to Aristotle’s treatment of place and locomotion, and will provide a forum for discussion of current research on these topics in Area D-II.Themes of the conference will include: metaphysical foundations of place, causal powers of place, and the topology of the spatial.
