Exhibitions
Topoi exhibitions documented the results of Cluster research for a broad audience. The first synthesis of this research was presented in 2012 at the Pergamon Museum in the large-scale Topoi exhibition “Jenseits des Horizonts” (Beyond the Horizon). More than 100,000 visitors attended the exhibition. In cooperation with Berlin’s museums and other partners, individual research results were presented at further events such as an exhibition dealing with concepts of the body in the history of medicine. Topoi also helped rearrange some of Berlin’s most important museums, e.g. the Museum of Prehistory and Early History (Neues Museum) and the Ethnological Museum at the Humboldtforum in the rebuilt palace of the Prussian kings.
